I came out of prison in 2004. I have been clean since that day. I met a wonderful man also in recovery, and began to builld what I thought was going to be the rest of our lives together. He was also in recovery. But then he got into a fight and was kicked in the face. It shattered his jaw again. And he relapsed. We lost everything. Again.Today, with the support of my family, I have remaind clean and sober. And hes put himself into a program. Never give up. Every day is a fight & a blessing. I have way more to be thankful for, than to sit on the pittypot and say why me!??! I still have my dogs ,my familys love, and am rediscovering the strength of self. I wont preach I live by example. I still love him. Support him when he needs to talk. Life is funny that way. Pray, love laugh-thats my motto. And listen when people speak.

Please check us out:

suboxonetalkzone.com: a psychiatry in recovery from opiate dependence discusses opiate addiction, new treatment options, topics in the news, and psychodynamic factors in addiction.
and suboxforum.com: while people using ANY method to stay clean are welcome, we want to be the 'NA of buprenorphine'. We encourage sharing from first-hand experience and limited table-talk. We try our best to avoid debating whether to take suboxone, but instead to provide fellowship, support, and information for those who have made the choice, or who have family members or themselves considering treatment options.
