If you haven’t heard, National Geographic is presenting a TV series every Monday called Border Wars. The series provides a little insight into the drug and human trafficking across our southern border.

Thanks, I hadn’t heard about his and want to watch it. I know you live in a border state as well (I’m in CA). Do you guys have signs along your freeways warning not to hit families that are running across the highway to cross the border? They sadden me.
Do you recall the case with the two Border Patrol Officers that were convicted for shooting a drug dealer a few years ago? I need to look that up and hopefully find that they have been let out by now.

I just did some research and found that:
“Bush didn’t pardon the men for their crimes, but decided instead to commute their prison sentences because he believed they were excessive and that they had already suffered the loss of their jobs, freedom and reputations, a senior administration official said.”
I believe that these two men, Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Campion (both Hispanic by the way) were so UNJUSTLY treated and that our justice system should be ashamed. Of course they aren’t ashamed, that’s just how I see it.
These men were doing their job, they shot an extremely dangerous drug smuggler and because he turned to run and the bullet hit him in the back they were sentenced to 12 years in prison. Both of them endured severe beatings from other inmates in prison. Both of them had perfect records of service, wives and young children. Both of them believed they were doing their job, protecting our people and serving our nation.
Sorry for this rant, it just all came back to me how mad i was during this ordeal and how these two guys were royally screwed over for doing what they were suppose to be doing – keeping drugs out of country.

Is it still running? I’ve only seen re-runs the past three weeks? What do you think of this? Skip to 0:40.
