My only concern is for those who are addicted to alcohol and other drugs. How will they be treated. Let’s try the concept out in Ca. first. Of course, if you legalized drugs in our country it appears that our economy would colapse in a big hurry!! 🙂

Of course, a primary need for addiction is treatment. We need answers and solutions. Right now addiction in America exists in staggering numbers and not much of a dent is made in that. Do your research before making assumptions about the ICSDP’s objectives. I think your talking about the legalization lobby. Check out Senator Jim’s Webb’s work on the subject. https://dadonfire.net/2010/07/22/update-criminal-justice-commission-of-2009/

Fabulously painful truths. We can each chose a targeted effort regarding the staggering impact on substance use/abuse in the US. Right now I’m in the “hounding” arena doing my best to inform family, friends, parents and strangers of these horrible truths. I want people to wake up from complacency, from “not my problem” land and realize this is effecting not on the country but the world. Too many of our children (of all ages) are dying. Before that usually comes years of crushing pain, frustration which is well shown in the first video of this post.
Thank you so much for putting this out there. Sending it on and grateful for the information!
Hugs of gratitude,
Barbara, Jim’s mom and Bill’s sister (lost to the disease of addiction)
